Administrative Statement: Club Penguin Armies

Hello Club Penguin Armies,

Club Penguin Armies is the proposed name for a governing organisation aimed to unite the community. It’s considered a merger between Club Penguin Army Network and Club Penguin Army Headquarters but features several new faces both inside the administration and inside the advisory panel. The administration, consisting of Spotty, LuciferStar, Max, DMT, Orange and Crazzy seems absolutely fine. We don’t, or before this post rather we didn’t, have any issues surrounding the core administration.

The advisory is the issue we have taken with this new organisation. With a panel consisting of Ayan, Flen, Zambi and Vanish we at first were cautious but ultimately decided we didn’t have any problems. Ayan and Flen are both hugely experienced in both the media and armies as a whole. The same can also be said for Zambi and Vanish, but the issue that took place a couple of days ago is simply too much for the Special Weapons & Tactics to ignore.

On the 21st of June, a photograph of two ex-community members was posted to the Rebel Penguin Warriors server. The Rebel Penguin Warriors are a meme army consisting of various former Doritos and Army of Club Penguin members. It should be noted that Zambi and Vanish have administrative positions within the server, with the permissions necessary to prevent (or at least act on) any doxxing that takes place inside it.

To dox: search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the internet, typically with malicious intent.

When the photograph was published, community member Eden prompted Zambi to delete the image. Instead of deleting it, Zambi simply responded with “Y” – if someone is incapable of knowing why it shouldn’t be allowed, they should not be assisting with the running of a community-wide Discord server, especially when privacy is becoming more and more important in the online world and Club Penguin armies.

Note that is our blur, not theirs.

It’s important to know that Vanish was online during the encounter, but we do not know for certain whether he was AFK or not.

I decided to bring up this issue within the server army leaders are using to discuss the merge. I brought it up after Pjayo invited army leaders to discuss more concerns.

LuciferStar, an administrator of the new organisation, proceeded to respond to my concern with an accusation that SWAT harboured individuals who have done much worse than share photographs. He also cited that action had already been taken against the advisors – but this has not been shared publicly, we can only assume this is to sweep the situation under the rug.

I did not believe there to be any aggression within Lucifer’s message. After all, if our army was guilty of such a thing then I would like to know about it to actively rectify the situation. Online privacy is important – anybody who disagrees, through words or through action, deserves no place in the SWAT Discord. I even offered to ban any individuals that Lucifer could name, but he opted to not name any.

I expressed discomfort in the idea of partaking in a league that is ran, albeit only partly, by members of the community who seem to have no regard for the privacy of others.

Admittedly, my CPAH comment was unnecessary and founded on frustration. The new organisation has already made several decisions without army leaders’ knowledge, something that many of us have expressed annoyance with.

Lucifer continued to elevate the conversation, accusing SWAT again and refusing to elaborate on who the guilty parties are – something that I need to know if I’m going to take action.

Lucifer accusing SWAT of harbouring doxxers involved in the fall of CPAH and accusing me specifically of being in denial.

Many of you that are aware of my history with SWAT know that I have had no say in anything from June 2020 until I re-joined for leader in June 2022. I have no clue on anything SWAT has been involved with in that time-frame, is it really that unbelievable I have no idea what he’s talking about?

I asked Lucifer for names again, but was met with nothing but passive aggressiveness. Clearly, he does not wish to act on the advisory situation nor allow me to act on the situation he is accusing SWAT of. From this, I can only assume that LuciferStar has no regard for online privacy unless it suits him.

To end, I proclaimed SWAT will not – simply can not – be taking part unless a statement is made on the advisor situation. Upon hearing this, LuciferStar decides to throw all professionalism out the window and insult the SWAT and tells us to leave.

Unfortunately, despite supporting the idea of unification, the Special Weapons And Tactics cannot take part in a league that is ran in part by members of the community who hold no regard for privacy. Nor can we support a league that is ran by an administrator that has shown clear hatred for the army.

We will attempt to stay in the merge server, offering our opinions where fit and to do the best for the community by engaging in discussions and trying our best to fight for what is right.

Sincerely,

SWAT Leadership
