Fun X Time, Commander: SWAT should experience a steep rise in activity. Time will be more welcoming in the second quarter of the year, due to Summer holidays, as confirmed via community voting process. With a prolonged period of time to recruit and improve, we should be able to find an ally and increase the competition. Summary
Concluding December 2023
In the past month, December 2023, SWAT previewed its most prestigious performances over a long period of time. We were able to acquire event participation counts of around a dozen. which is comparatively more lucrative than what SWAT saw in November 2023. The month was feared to have been attacked by EGCP. However, EGCP paused the war. Due to inactivity in the war, the war concluded silently.
The Yearly Awards 2023, too, started off on 5th December 2023, although, it was supposed to commence on 1st December 2023. The contest had two rounds: Nominations and Selections. In the Nominations round, or Round 1, agents could bring their name forward to be able to get voted for in the Selections round. In the Selections round, . SWAT became the first army to follow the most safest practices for hosting an annual award ceremony, especially due to the new Authorization Token feature in SWAT Bot.
Around this time, Bull Hour left the Leadership of SWAT.
SWAT did not show up in the Christmas Chaos XIII: Quarterfinals, as no agent was ready to lead the event at the given time. SWAT was supposed to fight against EGCP. Shortly after, the Division Commander Elections for the month commenced on 20th December 2023, at 12 PM UTC. Although, it was supposed to start on 15th December 2023, at 12 PM UTC. The first Division Commanders were inducted when the voting process concluded on 23rd December 2023, at 5 PM UTC, exactly 76 hours after. These inductions were: SWAT Low Command Member Fire_Dragon for the Arctic Ops and SWAT Commander Fwapo for the Strikers. However, upon Fwapo‘s request, the Division Commander for the Strikers changed to Shadow.
By the end of the month, SWAT outperformed events held earlier in the same month. Around this time, in four minutes, four armies declared war on EGCP. SWAT felt delighted and relieved seeing this moment. The war stemmed due to EGCP’s engagement in inappropriate practices and activity. Later, POM, too joined the war, composing an opposition to EGCP of five armies. SWAT Commander FWAPO, too, joined the Leadership again after spending little time in another army in secret. They had taken a break from SWAT earlier this month due to educational examinations.
Overall, the month consistently saw improvement. The month of December 2023 closed along with the Year 2023 entirely.
Concluding Season 1: Operation Blackout
Season 1: Operation: Blackout was the first season held in SWAT. And, the most victorious position acquired in the season was taken by Fire_Dragon, being the first to complete all missions in Season 1! They acquired Agent of the Month on 1st January 2024, and will uphold this title till 31st January 2024.

A medal issued by The SWAT Corporation on 1st January 2023. The medal has been awarded to Fire_Dragon, for acquiring the Agent of the Month: December 2023. The medal has UHD (4K, Ultra High Definition) quality, following the 16:9 Widescreen ratio.
Season 2 commenced on 1st January 2023. The season has been entitled The Luminescence. The season is possibly going to be based on theft of a lamp. The story will unravel over time.
Season 2 will be operated by the SWAT Bot. Newer missions have been added. Season commands have been improved.
Formal Establishment of The SWAT Corporation
Till now, The SWAT Corporation was mentioned several times in announcements. It may also be referred to as the ‘Corporation’. On 9th December 2023, the establishment of The SWAT Corporation began to take shape, by the creation of a Discord server.
On 11th December 2023, the Discord server was open to all staff members. The SWAT Corporation is an organization of trust, that allows agents that are at least of rank Staff in Training to enter the Corporation and partake in several administrative tasks assigned there. The Discord server was a replacement of a staff Discord server that SWAT previously had, which has remained obsolete for a prolonged period of time.
The Discord server is quite unique, however. Certain information from this staff-only Discord server can be accessed by the public. And, the Discord server can be considered as an incentive to engage agents to acquire promotions and be enlisted in the Corporation. The Discord server also provides an enormous library of guides.
Guests, Visitors, or Veterans may be allowed in the Discord server, on certain criteria. Please contact the Leadership to see if you are eligible to be able to access the Discord server. Certain access may or may not still be restricted.

SWAT Bot Updates
SWAT Bot has grown in usage exponentially in December 2023. This exponentiation hinted certain advancements that could be made in the bot.
1. Commit a Crime
Using .crime, or /crime as a slash command, will allow you to commit a virtual crime. This generates funny responses. And, it offers you a 33.333% chance of failing to commit a crime, which can cause you to lose a lot of coins.
2. Profiles
Agents have had an unsatisfactory time trying to know the amount of coins they possess by looking up for their position on the leaderboard. Using .profile, or /profile as a slash command, will allow you to view your profile in SWAT Bot. It allows you to see the number of coins and gems you possess. It also allows you to set your own description, view it, or view another agent’s description. The description enacts as a “bio”, or an “About Me”.
3. Badges
Badges are similar to medals and awards. They are recorded in SWAT Bot. Please note that this is different from Discord’s role badges, and is not to be confused with them.
Divisions Reworked
After a prolonged period of time, divisions have made a return! Two divisions can be entered, The Arctic Ops and The Strikers. SWAT uniforms have been stitched beautifully for each division.
December 2023 also saw the induction of Division Commanders, which brought divisions to action. It compounded activity in either division rapidly.
However, on 28th December 2023, SWAT Commander and SWAT Strikers’ Division Commander Fwapo decided to drop their position and choose Shadow as their replacement. Thus, Shadow acquired the position of Division Commander at the Strikers.

Discord Server Updates
In late December 2023, SWAT’s Discord server was redesigned to adapt to the Winter season. This design has now retreated, and the normal Discord server theme continues again. The Discord server now also has several other economy-themed Discord bots to promote engagement.
The categories in the Discord server were reorganized. And, newer channels were added. Incentives for using certain channels were implemented. Some channels were replaced or merged, too. The starboard was reworked upon.
SWAT anticipates Club Penguin Journey to be used for certain events, but may not be so necessarily. We greatly anticipate an event on New Club Penguin to be hosted in the month of January 2024, however.
The News Central channel on our Discord server is no longer discontinued. The channel was archived on 20th June 2023, and was reopened on 30th December 2023. The duration of the archival was 6 months and 10 days.
SWAT is Joining Fandom
SWAT is joining Fandom! Fandom is a platform for communities to establish wikis, which anyone, including you, can edit. With several pages being prepared, we are working on templates for the wiki. We expect the base of the wiki to be ready in a few days. We are constantly exploring sources where we can find historical information. These sources include SWAT’s present and past websites.
The objective of our Fandom wiki is simple: to preserve SWAT’s history. The wiki was created on 25th December 2023 by SWAT Commander Fun X Time. SWAT Commander Fwapo and SWAT High Command Member Zooy have volunteered to assist to be a part of SWAT’s Wiki Team. They have acquired the Wiki Administrator position on the wiki.
A battle occurred between the two divisions, marking the first battle between divisions. It is believed that it may be the first time a battle has struck between two divisions in SWAT, or even the entire army community. However, this information is not confirmed. The battle was judged by SWAT Commander Fun X Time from the Arctic Ops and SWAT Commander Fwapo from the Strikers.
The Arctic Ops took the victory. The results were:
Room 1: Tie Room 2: Tie Room 3: The Arctic Ops
Throughout the battle, both the divisions were raging for victory. The Arctic Ops and the Strikers acquired their highest participation count of 5 each, during the main duration of the battle. However, the Arctic Ops acquired 6 before the battle started. The Strikers lost primarily because of the massive participation count drop in the last room, which caused their performance to be explicitly unhealthy. Overall, both the divisions competed fabulously!
A Special Note!
What were the SWAT Commanders up to? The SWAT Commanders wanted to let non-High-Command members to lead events. We wanted to train them in administrative fields. The Commanders were extremely happy to see it in action! We could see both the divisions prepare tactics to their fullest.
SWAT Website Updates
After years, outdated content from the SWAT website is being removed! The Discord invite links on the website have been updated. The Empire page has been updated with accurate information. Older event schedules are no longer focused on the homepage of the website.

The month of December 2023 and the year of 2023 was wholesome and enjoyable. With a new atmosphere, SWAT looks forward for improvement, as it finds its best chance around this time.
The great community of Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) presents you their own edition of Club Penguin stories. This post unravels the story of a tragic blackout caused by an opposition who had returned.
Please note that this is a story inspired from Club Penguin. It is not the actual story. It may contain scenes from Club Penguin, and may be rephrased or reordered.
During the cold winter night on 1st December 2023, something unusual was cooking in a corner of the island. Temperatures fell quickly during the night, and did not seem to rise by dawn. The island did not experience sunrise at dawn. Penguins who woke up early were very confused. At 6:00 AM, Aunt Arctic was on her way to the Everyday Phoning Facility (EPF), the container of the Elite Penguin Force (EPF). In one blink of an eye, Aunt Arctic was shocked after seeing a glance of disaster.
Alarmist hysteria! The building is on fire! Firefighters from all regions of Club Penguin attended their call of duty, but the building no longer holds value. All around the island, cold temperatures were experienced. Sun was considered to have disappeared. Gary was unable to comment on this unseen phenomenon. Shortly after the scenario was reported, the Director immediately ordered Agents to respond and arrive to the scene on the Spy Phone.
The agents immediately interpreted the response and reported to the scene. It had been identified that a small tower emitting rays into the atmosphere was placed near near the highest point of Club Penguin, in the mountains. It seemed to be pointing towards the direction to which the Sun should be present. Aunt Arctic commended the agents for their vigilance.
The next day, agents report that they were unable to reach the area, as they could not proceed into the gates. The agents discussed the presence of tunnels in Club Penguin. Gates were found there, too. However, that was not the only thing they could recognize! The entire island is covered by evil expanse and disease.
Medical attention was necessary. Several camps were set up in regard to this at the Docks and at the Beach. Club Penguin, a self-governed island, is now headed by a set of rules set by a tyrant. After the tyrant published newspapers on 5th December 2023, the attacker was identified. It was no other than Herbert, who is attacking Club Penguin Island once again!
Around this time, the island welcomed the Yearly Awards 2023, through newspapers printed from Aunt Arctic‘s secret printer.
The fire on the EPF building was difficult to deal with. “Low temperatures turned off some flames. But, a lot was burning in the rubble, primarily debris with low ignition temperatures,” asserted Gary on 10th December 2023. Agents were organized to assist each other in unlocking each gate and be able to reach destinations that could bring a positive change in the situation.
On 15th December 2023, agents passed the first gate. They were able to collect some pizzas and hot sauce. No relevant item was discovered. On 18th December 2023, agents passed the second gate. They were able to collect some stolen items, most of which were expensive. On 20th December 2023, agents passed the third gate. They were able to gather secret plans that Herbert was up to, and also found Gary’s blueprints. On 30th December 2023, they were able to open the final gate and entered Herbert’s Lair.
At the lair, a lot of heat was attained by the agents. A large control panel, a widescreen television, and some imprisoned puffles were found. The Club Herbert newspapers were lying around, too. The power supply of various systems possessed by Herbert in Club Herbert was difficult to take control of. The agents managed to fuse the system and track Herbert down.
Sun returned to the sky, negativity purged, and fires left the scene.Club Penguin has recovered to its original state! Herbert seems to have fled. Machinery used by Herbert was used for gaining intelligence in the field of science.
The agents were commended by the Director. The Director reveals their true identity.

Concluding November 2023

In November 2023, we had completed a similar large-scale update to SWAT and its discord server. Although, war struck on 5th November 2023 due to EGCP’s overlook and envy, we managed to ignore the war and be able to decide what our future will hold. We named this project December 2023 and Beyond! The preparations started on 15th November 2023 and an anticipated change was being hinted at the end of every event.
We were about to reintroduce Divisions to SWAT in early November 2023 but we had exchanged it with a better plan. This change will now occur in early December 2023. Read the latter of this newsletter to know more!
In November 2023, following the leave of LEGOMAN, SWAT saw the induction of three commanders, Commander Fun X Time, Commander Bull Hour, and Commander FWAPO, in the order their induction was announced. The SWAT Corporation passes a great magnitude of gratitude to Commander Bull Hour for one of the biggest recruiting sessions conducted in the past 6 months. He has let SWAT achieve a greater height, if not the greatest. The SWAT Corporation also thanks Commander FWAPO for handling external affairs. This includes actions he took when battles were hosted, discussing event times, sending statistics for the Top Ten, his apt decisions that prevented a worse scenario from occurring, and so on. All the Commanders share an equal rank of Commander in Chief, as of 1st December 2023.
Unfortunately, Commander FWAPO left his position on 29th November 2023, at 5:13 PM UTC.
Immediately after the induction of the new commanders, the November 2023 Conference was announced to invite all staff members. We acquired a total of 8 attendees in this EU time zone region staff-only event. The November 2023 Conference was held on 19th November 2023, at 5 PM UTC.
In November 2023, The discord server channels were organized to an extent. We plan to improve and redesign it as much as possible to ensure that the channel list looks clean. Many deprecated roles were purged and roles were organized to ensure that ranks and promotions are simplified. Yet, work remains. This work was expected to be completed by the start of December 2023.
An application created by Commander Krill 300, the SWAT Event Generator, was reworked in November 2023. In December, it is being expected to be reworked such that more announcements and texts can be generated, and, thus, the application will be renamed. Note that the application is not being actively stylized and does not use Responsive Web Design (RWD), yet, thus may not appear as intended on certain devices. The client is not publicly accessible. Decisions on its public accessibility are being discussed.

“I am not too familiar in this area of SWAT event planning, so I can only speak as a troop in this case. I believe that we should have events that are extremely hyped in advance, and more spread out events overall. What I have seen over the years is burnout in troops, causing them to participate less. This has even occurred to me previously, the awareness of troops’ mental health and personal life should be always accounted for. Pressuring, as seen before in SWAT history, can make troops feel forced or coerced into going to events, which causes distrust in the community. This is one of the reasons I believe that the current abolishment of the “DM Advertising” recruitment style is more ethical but less efficient, it is something that I’ve wanted for a while but it’s impact on SWAT’s player base shows a very noticeable difference.
I would like to add on that size really isn’t everything when it comes to armies, it’s the community. Something I’ve always stood for in CPA is to combat hatred towards each other, and instead create a determined and valiant community that has fun, while showing what they believe in. SWAT shouldn’t prioritize having a bunch of penguins who log on and never participate in our community, we need troops that stay after events and make the entire experience more hospitable and friendly.
I honestly can’t predict the future of SWAT, it depends on the initiative that our troops and newly appointed commanders take, right now we aren’t at our golden age, and we won’t hit a golden age without doing anything. So I ask all of SWAT to work together, mend your broken bonds with fellow troops, and to start rebuilding the former glory of SWAT!

Introducing Seasons
Seasons are new adventures in which agents can compete in SWAT’s official discord server using the SWAT Bot. They are ways to engage agents by keeping them involved in events and other activity-related fundamentals. Seasons officially started in December 2023. Information can be accessed via the /seasons slash command or using the message-based text command .seasons.
December 2023 is the first season in SWAT, displaying the scenic frost beauty of the Club Penguin Island, while being actively attacked by an enemy. This season gives one clue of the enemy one must beware of! Who is behind the destruction? Let us hope the Island heals and information reveals!
Seasons is a SWAT Corporation initiative. Most Club Penguin graphics accessible in the Seasons feature use assets created by Disney Interactive Studios.

What can you get from Seasons?
Seasons yield several rewards, including Shout-out with Custom Advertisement, Graphics of Choice, SWAT Coins, possibly Discord Nitro, and much more! Note that winning Discord Nitro has not been officially confirmed, yet. We will let you know once it is. The winner(s) of a season may also have their participation counted towards the annual awards. Annual awards have been described briefly in the latter of this newsletter.
What do I do in Seasons?
You can be a participant of Seasons by partaking in the missions assigned. You can read fun messages that add up to the story throughout. To learn more about these sub-commands, please refer to the Seasons command itself.
Reintroducing Divisions
Years ago, SWAT had two broad divisions: The Red Division and The Green Division. By 2020, it was changed to The Green Division and The Purple Division. After a long hiatus with divisions, the system has been reworked. Presently, there are two divisions: The Arctic Ops and The Strikers, primarily colored with blue and red respectively.
Divisions are like broad teams or groups. You can switch divisions anytime. People participating in Divisions can partake in Division-based events, where Commanders may typically be the judge.
The division uniforms can be acquired on CPABattleground by using !army SWATA if you are in The Arctic Ops division of SWAT, or !army SWATS if you are in The Strikers division of SWAT.
Christmas Chaos XIII

Christmas Chaos XIII, abbreviated as CCXIII, is approaching. The tournament commences on Saturday, 2nd December 2023 between other armies. SWAT will be against EGCP, a great target. More information can be found on the CPA league’s post.

A battle will struck on Monday, 11th December 2023, at 8 PM UTC against EGCP, with a chance of SWAT proceeding in the tournament. More details can be found in the discord server. Periodic reminders will be sent. We expect great participation in this annual tournament, which is also the last in 2023.
Reorganizing the Discord Server
The official SWAT discord server is being reworked constantly, most of which are changes that are under the hood. The discord server will use modern Discord features.
Discord role badges have been amended.
Deprecated roles have been purged.
The Museum and Library category has been added, nesting important information and history in books and paper.
Promotion announcements are now stylized.
Top Ten winnings, Best of the Week winners, and Weekly Amari XP winners are now announced in one, stylized, compiled message.
Enhancing the SWAT Discord Bot

The SWAT Bot was created on 21st April 2023 by Commander Fun X Time. It was intended for utility purposes, including certain DM reminding, periodic newsletters, and so on. SWAT Bot is expecting to have a reliable economy system, soon, and is expected to be finished by the mid of December.
Currently, SWAT Bot is undergoing several changes. This includes adding thumbnails and images to embeds to beautify responses. Grammar and detail is being improved. The Seasons system, as mentioned earlier, is one of the biggest changes occurred in the bot. The bot is gaining flexibility and will be as much customizable as possible, letting Bot Staff members and Agents let the bot understand what tasks should be done by it.
All broadcast and reminding datasets have been updated in the bot, as of 1st December 2023.
Please note that the bot is not publicly available, yet, and cannot be added to any discord server. If we choose to let other users add the bot to their servers, however, there will be certain limitations and you will still find many SWAT- or Club Penguin-related commands. And, we must periodically check which server the bot is in, for security reasons.
An economy system is being developed consistently. New features are concatenating in SWAT Bot every day. And, we feel proud!

Why do we need the Seasons and Economy features? We want to attach more incentives to our community. Many agents have a passion of art, including Third in Command Zooy, and Third in Command stoggs101. Keeping this in mind, the SWAT Corporation is working on making an art team for the army.

The Final Event of 2023!
All special events will be hosted at 12 PM UTC, primarily for the European or African time zone region. This is to ensure that certain agents in the American time zone region, as well as, the agents in the Asia time zone region and Australia time zone region, may attend the event.
We are currently checking if 2 AM UTC, or 9 PM EST, is compatible for events in the American time zone region. Let us hope it holds!
SWAT is expecting to reach abnormal and satisfactory participation from the SWAT community for these special events.
Focusing on the SWAT Website
The SWAT Website will regain its activity as we create new posts and amend deprecated or outdated information. This has been acknowledged and we will try to finish the work by the mid of December 2023.
Posts will be frequented on the SWAT website. We suggest you to pick the SWAT News Central role in our discord server to stay tuned with all posts, if you like! The role can be obtained in the Channels & Roles channel of the discord server.
Did you know? SWAT had an older website, which has a lot of outdated information. It was last updated in May 2020. It can be accessed on swatofcp.com.
Medals
SWAT will now be prioritizing medals. We will add consecutive streak counts next to mentions in each promotion announcement. Medals will be awarded on the basis as mentioned in the Medals section of the SWAT website.
Currently, Medal of Consistency 𝐕 is the most popular medal, which is acquired by reaching a 5-event consecutive streak.

Emphasizing Efforts
The SWAT Corporation partook in several polls. We collected suggestions, feedback, artwork, and quotes from the entire community. This newsletter took days of effort to write.
The December 2023 and Beyond project was an initiative by the SWAT Corporation, with its primary focus on the new Seasons feature and on economy in the SWAT Discord Bot. Economy should be brought up in December 2023 and is expected to be fully operational by the end of December 2023 or in January 2024.
The efforts began on 14th December 2023. We worked on Seasons, the Event Schedule, SWAT Bot Improvements, The SWAT Constitution, and Security Amendments since then. Note that the SWAT Constitution is still being structured and will undergo certain confirmations, being implemented on 1st January 2024 and after.
